RTG’s Customer-Focused Approach
Romica Tie Group (RTG) was founded by Mike Turner together with Bob Turner, 22 years ago to combine their knowledge in the design of deck equipment with the good manufacturing facilities and workforce in Eastern Europe. Over the last decades the father and son duo have created a highly successful business. Owner and Managing Director Mike Turner gave an overview of the company’s latest operations.
“Along with our standard equipment range, we build bespoke products, we strive to create designs that incorporate proven components and solutions,” Owner and Managing Director Mike Turner said. “This offers maximum flexibility and improves cost and project development efficiency.

“RTG initially subcontracted the steel work elements of our equipment to class certified fabricators in Eastern Europe” whilst maintaining control of the equipment assembly and integration of the electro hydraulic and control systems and testing in our own purpose-built factory in Satu Mare, Romania”, since then we have invested in machine tools each year to increase our capacity, production efficiency and steel fabrication capacity.
The Turners’ Key Solutions
Today, RTG utilizes the knowledge and expertise of almost 80 full-time professionals. “RTG does everything from designing through to installation on the vessel,” Mr Turner said. “Qualified Welding and Fabrication, mechanical assembly, hydraulic and electrical installation, PLC programming, automation, testing, commission and on-site installation, are all services we offer to our customers”
